Partner and President
Doug Trussler co-founded Bison Capital in 2001. Previously, he was at Windward Capital Partners LP, and at Credit Suisse First Boston. Mr. Trussler is currently a member of the Board of Directors of GTS Holdings, Inc., Performance Team Freight Systems, Inc., Royal Wolf Australia Ltd., Royal Wolf Trading New Zealand Limited, BC² Environmental Corp., Big Rock Sports, LLC and The Center For Wound Healing, Inc. He was formerly a member of the Board of Directors of Twin Med, LLC and Helinet Aviation, Inc. Mr. Trussler earned a BA with honors in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
Partner
Ping Chu joined Bison Capital in 2002. Prior to joining Bison, Mr. Chu was a Vice President with Lehman Brothers in Los Angeles, which he joined in 2000. Mr. Chu previously worked at Credit Suisse First Boston and Price Waterhouse, both also in Los Angeles. Mr. Chu currently serves on the Board of Directors of Metagenics, Inc. and BC² Environmental Corp. He formerly served on the Board of Directors of Twin Med LLC and CLS Worldwide Services, Inc. Mr. Chu holds a BS in Economics, with concentrations in finance and accounting, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Louis Bissette is
a Partner of Bison Capital, having joined the firm in
2005 to head its east coast operations based in Charlotte,
NC. Previously, he was a General Partner at Brentwood
Associates, a leading Los Angeles-based middle market
private equity firm. Prior to Brentwood, he worked
in the corporate finance department of Morgan Stanley & Co.,
where his primary coverage responsibilities included
the firm's private equity clients. Mr. Bissette
is a member of the Board of Directors of Big Rock Sports,
LLC. and The Center For Wound Healing, Inc. Mr. Bissette graduated with a degree in Economics
from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
where he was a John Motley Morehead Scholar.
Principal
Lou Caballero is a Principal at Bison Capital, having joined the firm in 2004. His investment and transactional experience includes private and public transactions in services, industrial goods, light manufacturing, healthcare, and technology. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of BC² Environmental Corp. Prior to joining Bison he worked at Roth Capital Partners where he executed and originated corporate finance and merger and acquisition transactions for middle market growth companies. Mr. Caballero began his career as a Financial Analyst at Catellus Development Corporation (acquired by ProLogis) where his responsibilities included buy-side corporate merger and acquisition analysis, as well as real estate development and acquisition investment analysis. Mr. Caballero earned a BA with honors in Economics and Business from Westmont College and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Principal
Jason Strife is a Senior Associate at
Bison Capital, having joined the firm in 2007. His
investment and transactional experience includes private
and public transactions in retail, restaurant, consumer
products and general industrial markets. Prior
to joining Bison he worked at Weston Presidio Capital in
Boston, Massachusetts where he executed minority recapitalizations
and leveraged buyouts. Mr. Strife began his
career as a Financial Analyst at Wachovia Securities in
Charlotte, North Carolina where he executed sell-side merger
and acquisition transactions primarily with middle-market
private equity clients. Mr. Strife earned a Master's
of Science in Accountancy and a BS in Analytical Finance
from Wake Forest University.
Associate
Kurt Pilecki joined Bison Capital in August 2008. Prior to joining Bison he worked in CIBC World Markets Healthcare investment banking group for three years, having completed various merger and acquisition, equity and debt transactions for middle market life sciences and healthcare services companies. Mr. Pilecki earned a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia where he concentrated in Finance and Accounting.
